Walking The Dogs!

Parker is a very Dog Friendly Town.
I love walking the dogs here.
The Walking paths in my neighborhood are awesome.
But the View is magnificent!

Heading out from our neighborhood.

first stop- smelling the green shrubs. ( wo-hoo)

All the Pathways have lots of trees,
so there equal amounts of shade and sun.

I am very impressed with finding a
Doggie Clean-up Station,
 right along the walk way.
It is one of my "pet" peeves..
people who don't clean up after their pooches.

Yep, their are several of these.

Back to the pretty scenery!

More Lovely walking paths.

I also love that there are bikes lanes, everywhere.
I am so getting a bike..with a Doggie basket!

Thanks for walking with us!

Ruffles and Beads Summer Dog Collar Crochet Pattern

When I started designing this collar,
I wanted to make something light and ruffly,
and a little bit whimsical,
so I chose light Crochet Thread instead of yarn,
and added some sparkly beads for charm.

Rosie loves it.

Ruffles and Beads Dog Collar Crochet Pattern
 By Sara Sach
Please add this Crochet Pattern to Your Ravelry Favorites

Skill: Easy
Materials:
Hook: E
Crochet Cotton Thread by Red heart-
Small amount of Lt. Blue, Lt. yellow and Lt. Pink
Yellow Sewing thread
Sewing needle
About 20 small sparkle faceted beads

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Double Crochet (dc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)

R : 1- With Yellow thread, Ch 43 (this pattern is for a 12 inch dog neck,
you will need to add or subtract chs, about 5 chs per inch,
for your dog's neck length) 1 hdc in the 2nd ch from the enc,
1 hdc across ch, ch1, turn

R : 2 - 1 hdc in each hdc, ch1, turn

R : 3 - Change to pink thread with a sl st, ch 3 (2 dc, 1 ch) in each hdc across,
ch 3 at the end, join to the last hdc.

R : 4 - Change to the Blue thread, 3 sc across the end of the collar, ch 3,
and working down the other side of the collar, 1 dc in the base of the collar,
(2dc, ch1) in each st across, ch 3, join to the last dc, then 3 sc across this
end of the collar, ch3 and attach to the other corner on this end with a sc,
turn and st 4 sc through the space to form a button hole, join and tie off.

If you do not want to do a button hole you can always just stitch the ends
together for a slip on collar.

Beading the Collar:

I chose to sew the beads on because I wanted to use small beads.
Thread your sewing needle with the yellow thread,
and slide on one bead and sew it on the center line of the collar,
Then do the next bead, keeping the thread attached to the collar, the same way.
continue with the beads until the center line is a full of beads as you want it.

You will want to make sure you place one bead on the end to line up
with the button hole and use it as a button, to close the collar.

Rosie Modeling the Ruffles and Beads Summer collar.
When she tried a new item on,
she gets all excited and jumps around the room,
 then starts striking poses.
Of course, she knows she will be rewarded with a cookie
for modeling, and she loves her cookies!

Happy Stitching!

New Craft Room "Under Construction"

I am so excited about my new Craft Room-

As you can see, it is still very much
"Under Construction",
But I see the possibility of a
really great Crafting Space.

It is located in our Garden level Basement
and has a big bright window for great light.
And has French doors, so when the doors are closed,
Light from the window floods the rest of the basement,
where the Media Room will be.
 (it is "under Construction", too)
These Bins are holding a part, a very small part,
 of my yarn and projects.
(Boy, do I have some organizing to do.)

This is my Awesome Computer/ Office Space.
It is located at the edge of my Kitchen,
 looking out to the mountains.
(What? I was distracted by the mountains God made)

Well, we are starting to settle in, after one week,
and still lots to do.
My Artfire Store is open for Business: Here's the Link
As well as, My Ravelry Store: Here that Link
or you can always use my "Contact tab" over on the left side of the Blog.
if you need anything or have a question.

I Can See Pike's Peak From My Window

Posh Pooch Designs
is now located
 in the Beautiful City of
Parker, Colorado.

We don't have all of our furniture and things yet,
so we are making the best of it!
Maximo and Rosie look quite cozy.

One of the coolest things about our new house
is the set of paw prints that are in the cement slab in the back yard.

I think the previous owner had a hot tub here,
I am going to make it a sitting area.

I took this pic of my dogs paws with the paw prints,
I didn't mean to cute Rosie's head out of the pic.

I really can see Pike's Peak from my window!!!!

Could Not Sleep--So I got Creative

We are moving in about a week,
From Tulsa, OK to Parker, CO!
There are so many things to be done,
and I just couldn't sleep last night,
so I got my yarn stash out and got Creative.

First I designed a Pop Corn Sweater for Rosie Bell
using some rosy colored really soft yarn.
It has a flower on the back and a glitter button for fun.

Custom Pop Corn Dog Sweater: Link
I can make your pooch one in any colors you like.

Then I thought I should design a Sweater  for Maximo, too.

Private School Dog Sweater with monogram,
I put the "PPD" on it for Posh Pooch Designs.

I would be glad to make your pooch one
 in any colors you like.

I Got bored so I went  looking on Ravelry!
I found this adorable Tote Pattern called
"Kitty Tote"
Well, I named my tote
"Chihuahuas in a Row" Link
I changed the handles and added a flower,
but it is a great pattern.

Now I need a Nap!
