Crochet pattern for a Dog Blanket - Basket Weave

After taking my Rosie Bell back and forth
from the Doggie Doctor the last couple of weeks,
I decided she needed a little blanket to sit on,
 instead of a towel.
Towels can be rough and uncomfortable to sit on. So I decided to design a blanket that was just the size of the passenger
seat in the car, with a little hang over.
I wanted it made out of soft but
durable yarn that could be thrown in the washer
and dryer and still look good.
When I design I like to learn new stitches,
so I decided to learn the basket weave stitch
and incorporate it into the car blanket.
The Basket Weave Stitch is basically
  Front Post Double Crochet
and Back Post double Crochet stitched in blocks.

I practiced the stitch patterns several times before
I made the blanket, and to make sure I could do it.
Once I learned the pattern, It was easy.

Crochet Pattern "Dog Eye Wash Pad"

My Dog Maximo  is mostly white and
those tear stains around his little eyes
 are so hard to wash.

I have used a Regular wash cloth but they are too big.
I bought some baby wash clothes but they are too thin.
So I decided to make some out of Cotton yarn.
I have found that the best thing to wash
his precious eyes is Refined Coconut oil.
I put a little dab on the eye wash pad and gently wipe his eyes.
Works quickly and perfectly. I made three different styles.
One is a single paw shaped pad, one is a single round pad
and the last one is a paw shaped pad
with a pocket to slip my first two fingers in.
The last is my favorite to use. The circle and paw shaped pads work but you have to hold them.
The paw shaped with the pocket is great,
because you just slip your first two
fingers inside the pocket and clean their eyes.

Playing in The Snow!

My niece was out of school due to the large amount of snow we got here, so her daddy brought her over to spend the day.  We went shopping. She got a 3 Musketeers, I got the new Milky way Carmel, Which is now my new Favorite.  We got lots of other things too.

Next, We went to the Post Office to mail some packages of doggie hats, sweaters and woobies.

Then we lunched at my favorite Taco Bell .
(All Taco Bells are my Favorite Taco Bell..hee hee)

Then we played outside with the dogs but their paws got cold, so we took them inside.

And went back outside to build a snowman.

After that, we settled down with some cookies and Pop, and watched Tangled.

And played "Chutes and Ladders", Which she beat me in every game.

Then her daddy came and picked her up.

It was a fun day!
